Mr. Jan Stein has more than 30 years patent experience and drafts and prosecutes European Patent Applications, Oppositions (including Prior Use), Appeals and Oral Proceedings. He has been an expert witness for five years in the Danish Court of Appeal and the Danish Supreme Court and also in Norwegian court.

During the period 2006-2010 Jan headed the patent dept. of Groth & Co. KB, a mid-size patent agency.  

In 1993, Jan founded a forty full day course in European patent practice ("the EQE-programme"), a preparation course for candidates for the authorisation of European Patent Attorneys, and was heading it until 2011. The EQE-programme became part of the training programme of Albihns AB in 1997, and of the Swedish IP Academy in 2006. Jan still holds lectures in different topics of the European patent law, and has been involved in the development of the courses held by the European Patent Academy, organized by the EPO.

Jan is founding partner of Ipracraft AB and holds a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm).

Peter Thomasson M.Sc., Partner

Mr. Peter Thomasson drafts patent applications in the Swedish and English languages within the Mechanical field and prosecutes them before patent authorities both in Sweden and abroad. Peter has experience from identifying and evaluating matter suitable for patent applications in R&D projects and of giving advice within the field of IPR to clients according to their differing needs. Peter has also experience from opposition procedures at several patent offices and has represented clients in oral proceedings before both the Swedish Patent Office (PRV) and the Swedish Court of Appeals (PBR). Peter has also participated in oral proceedings before the European Patent Office (EPO) and at the Oslo District Court as technical advisor. Peter has also experience from lecturing about IPR for patent system users. Peter has further translated Finnish and German patent documents into the Swedish language. In 2015, Peter took part in the drafting of responses from Swedish associations of Patent Attorneys to the Referral regarding the Final report of the Patent Law Inquiry regarding the proposed new Swedish Patent Law.

Peter has some 25 years of experience of patents and has been active as a Patent Attorney in Sweden since 1999. Prior to this, Peter was IPR Manager at a company within the Ericsson group (1995 - 1999) and a Patent examiner at the Swedish Patent Office (1991 - 1995).

Peter holds a M. Sc. (mech.) degree from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, and is a member of SPOF and SIPF and joined Ipracraft AB in January 2016.

Elisabeth Einemo, Partner

Ms. Elisabeth Einemo has more than 30 years trademark experience. During the period 1983 – 2008 Elisabeth worked as an IP consultant with Groth & Co.’s legal and trademark department in Stockholm, and during this time also with Groth ‘s subsidiary Enderborg Trademarks AB.

After leaving Groth & Co. she has worked as an IP consultant in co-operation with Markolog HB, in particular in WIPO and OHIM trademark cases and oppositions. In 2014 Elisabeth joined Ipracraft AB and has now become partner of the company.

Elisabeth has a longtime experience in handling trademark matters in Sweden, in OHIM, WIPO and internationally, including advisory, trademark strategies, oppositions, drafting and negotiating agreements and handling trademark and other intellectual property portfolios. Elisabeth has participated in several ECTA conferences and is a member of SIPF (Association of IP Professionals in Swedish Industry) and IP-Samfundet (Swedish Intellectual Property Attorneys’ Association). Elisabeth has knowledge in the Swedish, Norwegian, English, German and French languages.

Patrik Blidefalk, M.Sc. Partner

Patrik holds a Master Degree in Electronic Engineering

Mr. Patrik Blidefalk has some 20 years experience of patents i general, out of which some 10 years as patent attorney and some 10 years as patent examiner at the Swedish Patent Office (PRV).

Patrik drafts and prosecutes patent applications within the field of electrotechnology, such as telecommunications, electric power engineering, electronics and software-related inventions. In particular within telecommunications and medical technology.

 Patrik also handles patentability analyses and is advisor in infringement cases.

 He has also done lecturing in patent practice.

Lennart Tåquist, M.Sc.

Mr. Tåquist has a very broad experience from multi part proceedings (patent litigation, nullity suits, injunctions, European oppositions, appeals and oral proceedings) and licensing.

Mr. Tåquist has a Master Degree in material science and graduated from the Royal Institute of Technology in 1967. He started his patent career in 1969 at Stockholms Patentbyrå (now renamed Zacco). In 1971 he switched to the industry to become an in-house counsel at the patent department of Sandvik AB, a global company with interests in development of metal machining tools, mining tools, highly alloyed stainless steels, and cemented carbides. He became the head of the patent department in 1978 and headed it as Vice President of IP until 2008, and  Senior IP Advisor until 2015.

Gerhard Miksche Ph.D.

 Gerhard has extensive experience in IP licensing and patent infringement/nullity litigation in Sweden and abroad. Over the years Gerhard has provided a substantial number of patentability and patent infringement/freedom to operate opinions. He has also drafted, filed and prosecuted a wide range of patent and trademark applications in Sweden and abroad.

Gerhard has a broad technical, industrial and scientific competence extending from mechanics over chemistry, wood & pulping technology and biochemistry to medical technology and pharmaceuticals.

In 1971 Gerhard obtained a licenciate of philosophy degree in organic chemistry at the University of Göteborg where he later defended his doctoral thesis in wood chemistry. After interludes at the Technical University of Lund as lecturer in organic chemistry and at the National Institute of Occupational Health at Umeå as head of department, Gerhard joined the National Board of Technical Development (STU), a governmental agency funding applied R&D, as an administrator of projects in the fields of pharmaceuticals, medical technology, and biotechnology.
